Why has the WT not tried to shut down this board?
by hamsterbait inwe all know that beth hell monitors this site.. they have repeatedly had sites shut down for quoting large portions of their litterature.
not this one.. do you think this board enables them to keep a finger on the pulse of what is going on in ex and aposto land?

It wouldn't surprise me that the WTS has it's own computer hackers & lawyers for "theocratic warfare" against internet enemies. The JW's are a small desperate cult, and the internet is kicking their ass.

Judgment of sheep and goats is future but we are now living in the hour of judgment??
by yadda yadda 2 inmatt 24:29-31: "immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.and then the sign of the son of man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in lamentation, and they will see the son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
" the watchtower says no: "the rendering of judgment on the sheep and the goats is future.
23).. so, according to current watchtower teaching, we are now living in the "hour of the judgment", but the "rendering of judgment on the sheep and goats is future".. confused?

My issue with the parable of the sheep and goats is that it associates the left hand with evil. It is time to let go of the superstitions related to irrelevant factors, such as left-handedness. Some of the best people I know are left-handed.
I agree.......however, I still think people with 6 toes are scary.

Jehovah's Witnesses Believe It or Not- Weird & Wacky Museum
by Think About It inyou've seen or heard about the ripley's believe it or not museums, where different weird & wacky items are displayed from human culture.
let's compile a list of the weird & wacky items from the jw religion that would make a great jw believe it or not museum.
maybe the wts could open one up it's own historical museum in brooklyn to make some big money.

Beth Sarim- The House of Princes
Beth Sarim (Hebrew for ' House of the Princes ?) was a ten-bedroom mansion in San Diego, California, constructed by the Watchtower Society in 1929 in anticipation of various resurrected Old Testament biblical patriarchs or prophets such as Abraham, Moses, David, Isaiah and Samuel. It was maintained by the Watchtower Society, the parent organization of the Jehovah's Witnesses religion, and was also used as a winter home and executive office for Watchower Society president Joseph Franklin Rutherford.
So let me get this right.......The WTS actually believed that biblical characters like Abraham, Moses, David, Isaiah and Samuel, were going to be raised from the dead where they had been buried in their bible lands, then get themselves a passport to come live with 'Judge' Rutherford in his San Diego, California mansion to help oversee the work of the Watchtower Society? This is beyond Wierd & Wacky.....this is Bat-Shit Crazy level.

Think About It
I've never shared this before, but........the brainwashing & deep seated fear that this cult instills in it's members minds runs very deep.
I was a grown man who was out of this cult for 15 years already when I first joined here. Looking back now... it was silly, but I was actually scared shitless to join JWN.(LOL) It's just the fear that this cult instills in it's members about apostates. It was not long after what I learned here, that I was able to call the JW religion the cult that it is.

Charles Taze Russell's pyramid grave marker.
Yes.....if you are a JW lurker you can believe what you are seeing. Pastor Russell the 1st President of the Watchtower Society was into pyramidology, and has an actual pyramid as a grave marker. Weird & wacky from the founder of the Jehovah's Witnesses religion where even owning a wind-chime can be considered a sin.

Who is Babylon the Great?
by sabastious inhello jwn, my last thread revealed the identity of the beast out of the earth referenced in revelation chapter 13 veses 11-18. this post will deal with the beast out of the sea who is being ridden by a prostitute called babylon the great.. first, we must identify the beast the prositute is riding.
this can be found in revelation chapter 17:.
one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, come, i will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, who sits by many waters.2 with her the kings of the earth committed adultery, and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries.. 3 then the angel carried me away in the spirit into a wilderness.

I can't wait for Sab's interpretation of the Revelation 7 bowls & 7 trumpets. Should be much more interesting than the WTS.

We had a lot of old timers who had been colporters with the record players and big collections of the old Washtowels. Some had the Cross on them. I had some of the old magazines framed and the record player all shined up. Even had some old placards and convention bumper stickers mounted. It was beautiful collection. We hung it and all the dubs loved it.
That was awesome.

When do you think there will be a revised "Reasoning Book"
by Amelia Ashton inbecause i was abroad we had to use the original revelation book and only the reader had the new improved version so i don't know if this was the same else where but following along using the old version made the adjustments seem even more ludicrous.. why didn't they ensure everyone had the new version before studying it rather than highlight all the "adjustments" that had to be made in a km and therefore making them more obvious?.
do you think there could be a list of amendments to be inserted into the reasoning book in the same way?.
-
Think About It
The WTS has decided that "reasoning from the scriptures" is not necessary......it is their way or the highway.
